Your Questions Answered

It is Friday night (I scheduled this to post on Saturday!) and David is watching football.  I love college football, but not too crazy about The NFL.  I have teams that I favor over others, but the Kansas City Chiefs are not on that last!  Anywho!!  So I am taking this down time to answer some of your questions.  If you have a question you would like to ask, be sure to leave me a comment!!

Lady in Waiting asks.....
What made you decide to get a degree in Education?
For as long as I can remember, my mom always told me that I would be a great teacher.  I was always the girl in church that was called on to babysit their children, active volunteer in the children's programs and more.  However, I could never picture myself being responsible for the education of young children.  At our second base, I got a job at the Child Development Center on base and loved writing lesson plans, creating new activities for the children, reading aloud to them, and more.  The Assistant Director and Trainer encouraged me to go back to school and get my degree.  When we moved to our 3rd base, I enrolled in school a month after we got here.  I have not looked back for a second.  I am passionate about teaching and I am looking forward to student teaching this fall.  I start next week and I can hardly contain my excitement!!  I also have another story that drove me to teaching that I have shared in mock interviews with Principals.  I will have to write a post about it one day.

Jessica asks....
What do you do to pamper yourself?
This is a hard question for me.  I am pretty low maintenance kind of girl.  I am not that girly either.  I never get my nails done because I will just chew them off (bad nervous habit) and I rarely get a pedicure.  I just do not like spending all that money on myself.  Although I love getting my hair done.  I love to go shopping, but with a  husband and 2 children in tow, it isn't really pampering.  I would have to say that I love sitting down and watching my Razorbacks (college football team) play their hearts out while I drink a cold one and have some yummy grub.  Man, I sound like a guy!

Sespi asks.....
If you had three hours to yourself to do whatever you wanted, what would you do? (Money is no object!)
Sespi and I discussed on Twitter what a hard question this is to answer!  I think that I would go to a luxury store and hire a personal shopper and let her bring the clothes to me while I sip on champagne.  All of this without a husband and children around.  Although I would probably buy them clothes too! HA!  And I would probably have someone to my  makeup.  This is turning into a Mommy Makeover Day.  Can someone please make this happen!  Can you imagine the possibilities.  OK, I am back to reality now.

Jenn asks.....
If you could choose any destination to vacation at, where would you choose?
I have always dreamed of going to NYC and Australia.  Most people of going to a tropical beach, but not me!!  I have actually never been to a real beach before!  I lead a sheltered life!!  (NOT REALLY!)

I have always wanted to go to NYC since I was a little girl and would watch the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.  I still plan on attending that parade one day in person.  I was so close to getting to go to NYC next summer.  David was being considered for a deployment to Dover AFB in Delaware.  What? A stateside deployment.  YEP!!  I am not going to lie when I called my mom and asked if she would take a week of vacation to go with Tyler and I to visit David.  He would only get one day off so we would go to DC that day (only 2 hours away) and then we would go to NYC for 2 nights.  I was crushed, but I knew it wasn't going to happen.

I have always been fascinated with Australia.  I may have been slightly obsessed with The Crocodile Hunter at some point in my life and my have cried and cried the day that he died.  Maybe one day I will get to go, but NYC seems like more of a possibility in this life time!!

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!  I am enjoying my last weekend before I am up at the crack of dawn on Monday.  I have never been so excited to be up before 6:00 a.m. in my life!!

  1. Oh I love this post! It helps me to know more about you. I wish I knew what I wanted to be when I grow up.

NYC is awesome. I hope you get to go soon. I would love to go to Australia too! That sounds like a trip I could get behind!
