1. What food reminds you of your spouse?
Oh this is a fun one!
I would have to say Fried Catfish! It is a Southern Food and he is Southern to the core. It is also one of his favorite foods. We recently discovered that the Commissary sells Catfish Filets and this made his summer! I swear that he can make better catfish than any Down South All You Can Eat Buffet! Just Sayin!!!
2. Who would you rather sit next to in a cross-country plane ride: an irritating non-stop talker, or a quiet stare-er?
Definitely someone who is quiet and staring. If I was traveling by myself (Yeah RIGHT!), I would be reading and wouldn't be paying any attention to them anyways. If I had the kids with me, I would be busy with them and Tyler would eventually ask them what they are staring at anyways. Or Landon would keep saying Hi to them and they would eventually stop staring.
3. What are your best tips on how to save money?
Yes this is a topic that we are currently discussing big time. With me student teaching in the fall, Tyler will now be in Before and After School at the Youth Center. WONDERFUL! I am usually really good at clipping coupons, but got lazy with it. We are about to pick that back up. I have also found that if I sit down and make a weekly menu, then we do not eat out. I also try to buy generic when I can. Heck now that Landon is FINALLY potty trained, that saves a good $40 a month!
When I go shopping for clothes for the kids, I hit the sales racks. I am pretty good at finding a good sale and can still shop at my favorite stores!
3. What is your favorite summer memory?
I will have to admit, this summer is up there! The kids are at such a fun age! They both love going to the pool this year. Whereas last year, Landon would barely put his foot in the pool. Tyler is swimming all over the pool and Landon has a new found obsession with fishing. And to make it an even better summer, DAVID is HOME this summer!
4. Do you believe in ghosts?
I love this question! We swear that my parent's house is haunted! Too many weird things have happened there. My sister had the Sleeping Ernie (Remember when that was popular?) and it was turned off. The thing would go off all the time. Ok, so it might have just been the toy itself going crazy. But Mom has just had weird stuff like that happen all the time. Her dog started going crazy one day and staring at NOTHING and was barking like crazy! That was very out of character for her. So we always say that the elderly couple that lived there before them, that their ghosts are still there. It is all a joke, but sometimes it really does make you wonder!! :-)
Happy Friday! I hope you have a wonderful weekend! Exercise is in Full Swing here AGAIN! So David will be working! BOO!
Love your response to #2.
ReplyDeleteI believe in supernatural stuff like that...
ReplyDeleteMy husband likes catfish too and I can't stand the stuff! I think it tastes like dirt and he says it's supposed to taste "Earthy." No thanks!
ReplyDeleteI do the menu planning too. It helps you not have to think too hard during the week.
I wish Little Butt would hurry up and potty train already! She doesn't seem interested AT ALL. Blah!
Welcome back!
ReplyDeleteThanks for joining! Hope to see you next week!
Great answers! Love your answer to number 1. It made me recall some great fried catfish memories with my husband! Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteOh, the pool... I have fond childhood memories of the neighborhood pool. It was a big deal when I turned ten and was able to take the swim test that meant I would be able to *gasp!* go to the pool all by myself, no need for a parent. Gotta love those leaps towards independence.
ReplyDeleteHope you and your family enjoy many happy hours at your pool this summer!
