Playing Catch Up

OK, so I am trying to play catch up on the good ole blog!  We went home to Arkansas for Thanksgiving.  We had so much fun spending time with family.  David and I even managed to have some alone time.  The weekend before Thanksgiving we went to the AR/Mississippi State Game in Little Rock.  The Hogs whooped up on the Bulldogs.  It was a great game and more fun that David and I were there together.  The Friday after Thanksgiving, my parents gave us the boot out of the house and sent us to the deer camp for the night.  A night away from kids!  They didn't have to beg for too long!  HA!!  That Saturday morning, I killed my first deer.  Shocker, I know!!!  My mom and Tyler went Christmas shopping and Dad and Landon did lots of male bonding!

We also went to Monticello and spent time with David's family.  His brother has 2 girls.  Poor Landon is the only boy on both sides of the family.  We had a good time and I got to eat my favorite pizza at Larry's pizza, twice while we were home.  Yes, I gained about 20lbs on our visit home.

David and I at the game.

Sisters!

My little piece of heaven!

Our family pic on our Christmas.  The light that day wasn't too great.  It made for a dark picture.
But Landon cutting up really shows our true family.  So I didn't care what the photographer experts
had to say.  Maybe one day I will get some fancy editing software, but until then......dark pics will have to work too.

  2. What a fun time you all had!! I'm really happy for you... and I'm thrilled that you get a break from school for a bit.

Way to go on the deer! I wish I could do that... next year I am sending Daniel to go hunting. I love venison and New Mexico is not so good for all that :)

You family photo is cute! If I can offer a suggestion - it's usually best if you turn so the sun is shining on you (if it's not BRIGHT harsh light, that is) instead of it shining on your back. You are in the shadow instead of having the sun act as a "spotlight." I love the flannel in Tyler!
