This past weekend, my Mom's bank sponsored a trail ride to raise money for Relay for Life. My parents have been dying to take Tyler and Landon. This year, my Dad was determined that he was going to meet me half way and pick up Landon. Tyler was still in school and she actually did not want to miss school. They were working on their Mother's Day presents! How cute is that! So I met my dad last Thursday and barely got a goodbye from Landon. He was SOOOOO excited!! He loves going to the farm (my parents' house!).
Mom said that Landon loved the live band and danced the whole time!
My parents have a pony and took him for children to ride. Landon loves Buckeye.
I always feel bad for Tyler and Landon that they do not get to see their grandparents (both sets) as much as I got to spend with mine. They really enjoy their time in Arkansas. I think they may even enjoy it more when Mom and Dad are not around and they get their grandparents undivided attention and the grandparents get Tyler and Landon's attention!!
Aw, it looks like they had so much fun!
ReplyDeleteHow fun!!!! :)
ReplyDeleteIt was always more special to be at my grandparents w/o my parents....as an Aunt I loved have my nieces and nephews without their parents around - they actually behaved better and we had a lot more fun without the old stick in the muds lol
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun day! I know what you mean, it's always been my dream that my (96 year old) grandmother would get to meet my kids. Now that we are moving and pushing kids even further into the future, that's becoming less and less likely. I'm glad your kids got to have a great day with their grandparents.
