MIA

I know, I know, it has been forever since I wrote a post!!  My life consists of classes, my 1st and 3rd grade classrooms, dance 2 nights a week, studying for Praxis, David studying for Tech, entertaining two kids, and you know how it goes!!

Yes, I know they are all excuses.  But unless you wanted to hear the details of all that, then I had nothing to blog about!!  I have tons of pictures that need to be uploaded off the camera.  As you can see, it hasn't happened.  SIGH!!!

We have had some crazy and exciting and scary things going on around here.  Some things I cannot go into detail about.  I had a HUGE scare that I will share.  About 2 weeks ago my mom called me and told me that she had her yearly mammogram and they saw a spot that concerned them. So she went in for another stronger mammogram and they were still very uneasy about the spot.  They scheduled a biopsy for this past Monday.  I was terrified.  My mom is my best friend. I kid you not.  We are really close.  I know a lot of people do not understand how close you can be to your mom, but we are.  We are just a close family and I love that.  So add to the fact that I am 7 hours away and couldn't be there for the biopsy, I was a wreck.  I didn't want to talk about it. I only talked to David about how I felt.  He was really worried too.  Monday came and what was supposed to be a 15 minute procedure turned into 2 hours.  It turned out that there were 2 spots that they were concerned about.  OMG!  I lost it.  My dad was a wreck.  Mom is the rock of our family, what would we do if it was cancer?  Wednesday the results came in and they were normal!  I cannot tell you how relieved I was.  Her birthday is this Wednesday and she will turn 50 years old.  And my parents are coming up next weekend to celebrate, Landon's, mom's and my birthday.  I think there is even more to celebrate about this year!!

Right now, I am sitting on what is about to be my old couch.  We are having new couches delivered today!  I am so excited.  It kind of sucked to buy new couches.  We haven't had these for long.  We paid to have them scotch guard and we are pretty much guessing they didn't do it.  THey are a nightmare to keep clean.  And we had some other reason too.  I am in love with our new couches.  They should be here at any minute!  Nothing like new furniture to make me a happy girl.

David is on leave this week!  I am so excited!  He is off this week to study for Tech.  He has been staying late at work to study for the past 2 weeks.  His squadron really wants him to make it! HA!!  I think they have big plans for him!!  Lucky David!!

Well that pretty much sums up what is going on around here.  Wow these posts are so dull when I am in school.  I will try to post pics of the new furniture to liven things up on here!!  Hope everyone has a great weekend!!
