Have At It Friday

Wow, it is Friday again and that means that it is time for Have At It.....

Dear Famous Pizza Chain, I find it very annoying that I order my pizza during a not so busy time of the day and it still takes an hour to deliver my luke warm pizza. Then you proceed to get an attitude with me because I did not print out an Internet coupon, through your site, that said to enter the code. Actually, your site put the code in for me!! Why would I print out the coupon?

Dear Base, is it really necessary keep people from leaving the base during the peak time of the day. I know that it was not an emergency, just an exercise. I am sure we can do this at 1 p.m. instead of 9:30. Thanks!!

Dear Clinic, instead of calling me promptly into the pediatrician's office and waiting for 45 minutes, why can we not wait in the waiting room. You know, where you have the tv, books, toys, etc to keep my 2 year old busy and out of trouble!! I become more annoyed about my appt being late when I am stuck in an exam room. Just sayin!!!

Dear Mother Nature, ENOUGH of the rain already!!

Dear Me, stop stressing out over your Spanish Class. You will forget it next semester anyways. Is it an important class to have in the educational field, unfortunately yes. However, is 1 semester really going to help me? I am learning, as the months approach at lightening speed to the Big 3-0, learning another language isn't as easy as it was in high school.

On to more important items of interest:

Tyler was named Student of the Month!! WOOHOO, I am one proud momma!! I am beginning to think she really has her teacher fooled!! She gets the best behavior reports every Friday!! I guess I am doing something right! HA!!

Landon is doing AWESOME with his glasses. Once again, I should listen to my mom and stop stressing out. She kept telling me that he would do great wearing them!!

David is HOMESICK!! He is missing us like crazy and we are missing him!! He does have an AMAZING package in the mail to help lift his spirits! I may just get wife of the year for this one! HA!! No, he hasn't seen my hair yet. I haven't taken pictures of it yet. I can't decide if I like it yet!! HA!!

Ok, I am off to pack for our weekend trip to Branson!! I cannot wait to see my mom, do some shopping, eat at Lamberts, and just enjoy having some adult conversation. I have already asked mom if we can eat out one night where I can purchase and adult beverage!! A margarita is calling my name! HA!!

Have a GREAT Holiday Weekend!! Say a prayer for our troops who cannot be with their families on this long weekend and pray for their safe return!!

Oh, I almost forgot! It is my favorite time of the year, college football!! My team plays this weekend in Little Rock! Man, I would give anything to be there, well I would never go without David. We are taking Tyler to her first game this November. Anyways, I just wanted to say GO HOGS!!!!! I cannot wait to see what Mallet can bring to the table this year!! WOOOO PIG SOOIE!!!

Have At It Friday

  • Dear eczema, please give my son a break!!  He is MISERABLE!!  And when child is miserable, so is momma!!!
  • Dear Missouri, please explain to me this new law of no texting while driving if you are under 21 years of age!!  SERIOUSLY!!  This should apply to ALL ages!!  I am guilty of reading texts and I am trying to stop, but I could easily have a wreck and I am 29 years old!!
  • Dear Spanish Professor, You are Great!  I LOVE YOU!!  But I am LOST!!!  I think I am only meant to know one language.  I am trying!  Can we cut down on the homework?!  Thanks!!
  • Dear SP's, give us a break on base!!  I know this is a slow and boring base.  I know you have a job.  But driving 15 mph is near impossible!!
That is about it for this week.  I have mainly been curled up in the bed.  ALLERGIES SUCK!!!

Now it's your turn to HAVE AT IT....

Have At It Friday

First off, I just want to say thank you for all the sweet comments on my last post!! I felt better after I published my post! Sometimes it just helps to write it down. Then I got to talk to David for the first time in over a week! It was so great to hear his voice!!

Okay, now to explain the title of my post! One of my FAVORITE shows is Army Wives on Lifetime. From the very first season, I was in love. However, I didn't get to see the whole season because we PCSed (moved) right in the middle of the season. Pretty ironic that my military life interrupts my fav military show! Well I found Army Wives Season 1 on Netflix and got got up this week.

Last night, I watched Disc 3 of Season 1, where Pamela gets the gig at the radio station. She calls her segment, Have at It with Pamela Moran. I got to thinking, how fun would it be to do a weekly post titled Have At It. For those of you who may not watch the show, military spouses call in and get advice from Pamela on military life, vent about the military life, or just say whatever is on their mind. I know for me, I feel so much better when I type out when I am thinking, good or bad!

So here is the deal, each Friday I am going to do a Have At It. Who wants to play along? You do not have to be military. Everyone has something to say, ask, or just want to share. You can do a blog post and leave your link in a comment or just leave a comment! I think it will be fun.

So here it goes........

  • Dear Air Force, you should really shouldn't give out that Staff Stripe to people who are constantly in trouble. Yes, they have tested a billion times and now they only have to sign their name on the test and they make Staff. I am not going into details, but when my husband is having to warn this troop to watch his ass because he can loose his line number just like that on the same day he makes Staff....HHHHMMMM!!
  • To one of my not so fav professors: Seriously, if you are going to give an observation assignment in a child care center, give your students more than one day to complete the assignment!
  • To David's supervisor, it is ok to call and check on me once a month. I do not bite! I promise!! Forget it, I probably will bite at this point!
  • And this one is a question or advice!! I am about to invest in MacBook Pro. YAY, so excited!! I asked David to get me Photoshop for Christmas. There are several different types and prices! I was a little overwhelmed on which PhotoShop that he should get me. HELP!!
