Christmas Came Early

A local retired teacher opened up a place where businesses and people could donate anything and everything that teachers can use in their classroom.  Once a month, teachers in our county can come and get whatever they want for FREE!!  They also let student teachers in the county come and shop!  Fox 4 did a segment on Teacher's Warehouse this past week.  You can check out the segment here.  What a great resource for teachers when budgets are being cut and teachers are having to reach into their pocketbooks even more than ever.

Here are some pictures of what I scored yesterday!  I was like a little kid in a candy shop.  And then it was Christmas when I got home and discovered stuff that my teacher threw in my boxes for me!  When people found out that I was student teaching, they were throwing stuff at me and telling me, "You have to have this, you will love it!"

I probably came home with over $600 of goodies.  You cannot see all the wall decor and bulletin board goodies that I got!

Comprehension Books!
Word Cubes, Math Manipulatives, GeoBoards
Math Manipultatives, Teacher Resource Books, Readers, Phonics CD, Manipulative Clocks
All About Me newspapers, Pocket Folders,  Letters and Sight Words for Word Walls
Readher's Theater, Comprehension Books, Alphabet Game, Math Flashcards, Tornado Tube,
Checkers in a Net Bag, Brand New Canvas Bag (I want to get it monogrammed.), and more
Heaven!!!!

  3. That's awesome, teachers are so often under-appreciated.

BTW, I think we might have been at Lakenheath during some of the same years?! We were there from July 02-July 05.
