This past Thanksgiving, my parents told us they would keep the kids for us and we could go spend the night at the deer camp. I got pretty excited about it. Ok, maybe it was a night away with David more than anything. So David gets all excited about taking me hunting and decides that I need to go shoot my Dad's gun, just in case. OMG.....talk about a RUSH when I shot the gun! I was hooked and I was so excited about going hunting.
That night was a blast. We made s'mores over the camp fire and talked about everything and nothing at all! WE got up the next morning and before the sun was even out a doe walked up. As soon as the sun was up, I shot and had my first kill.
I am so sorry if you are not a hunter. I do not mean any disrespect, but it is for the protection of your car!
What is something that would surprise someone about you?

I guess what people would not guess abt me is that I am a flower child/hippie/earth mother. I keep the principles in hand even though I gave up the lifestyle in the 70's - it is the "true" me
ReplyDeleteHow fun! I've never been hunting...not really my thing...but I do enjoy going shooting.
ReplyDeleteAwesome!! What a great opportunity to do something together =) And it totally gives you an edge ;-)
ReplyDeleteim not up for hunting, flyboy would be, but I'm all about four wheeling and I saw yours in the back of the pic!
ReplyDeleteAnd thats probably something people would be surprised about : )
Ok this is where we part our Southern ways! I have to say that I'm so glad that JM is not into hunting! I don't have anything against those who do, btw! :)
ReplyDeleteLOL, I grew up in a hunting community. Our meals were pretty much what my dad could hunt. Venison, squirrel, duck, rabbit, etc.
